Abstract Text | A case study on how various sanitary sewer improvements have helped reduce Infiltration and Inflow (I & I) and Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs). An aging sanitary sewer system plagued with I & I is faced with the challenge of reducing the SSOs and unnecessary wet weather flows at their wastewater plant. Through various projects of trunk sewer replacement and trenchless technologies, the City has significantly reduced the I & I and SSOs. The Return on Investment (ROI) of the I & I and SSO reduction will be evaluated and presented. |
