Abstract Text | Fusible PVC pipe was developed in the early 2000s followed by significant growth in the trenchless technology sector, and recent growth for installations by open-cut. The presentation will highlight AWWA C900 standard that includes Fusible PVC pipe fusion joint and how Fusible PVC pipe differs from bell and spigot PVC pipe. The presentation will review material properties of Fusible PVC pipe comparable to other pipe materials. In addition, typical installation methods of HDD, slipline, pipe burst, close tolerance pipe slurrification and open cut will be discussed. |
